It's almost like centralized democratic government, i.e. weaponized bureaucracy to secure power and loot productive people, is just a milestone on the road to serfdom. Obama and Biden did the looting, Bush and Trump the securing and expanding of power, the next in line will probably do more looting again. Welcome to Lincoln's America.
