-Humans cannot fully understand or engineer them.
-Traditions that survive long periods likely encode useful wisdom.
-Systems should align incentives with reality rather than fight it.
-Cultural and spiritual traditions help humans remain humble about complexity.
That 3rd one bugs me.
We used to do everything ourselves. Grow food, hand wash clothes, fix vehicles, etc. Basically everything. Now we dont.
Guess there was no useful wisdom in that stuff and being on the hook for an electric bill is best...
