Cari Network Selects ZKsync Prividium for Tokenized Deposits
Cari Network, a banking consortium led by Gene Ludwig, has chosen Matter Labs' Prividium infrastructure to build a tokenized deposit system for U.S. regional banks. This initiative, utilizing ZKsync and anchored to Ethereum, aims to allow banks to issue and manage tokenized deposits as balance sheet liabilities on a 24/7 basis.
The platform, currently in testing with five prominent U.S. banks including Huntington Bancshares and KeyCorp, is designed for a permissioned ecosystem, adhering to bank risk and compliance protocols. Prividium emphasizes privacy, instant settlement, and tamper-evident audit trails, positioning tokenized deposits as a complementary tool to stablecoins for interbank payments.
