Watching the All In guys go in circles week after week on deflation, AI, and productivity. Unable to square the circle, is boarder-line comical. @Jeff Booth Please find a way to get The Price of Tomorrow into David Friedberg’s hands. 🙏

I had not listened to them in probably a year but this prompted me to give this week’s a listen. It’s so fascinating. They are so close, yet so far. You can see the cognitive dissonance so clearly in each of them. Friedberg is the closest to getting it. But I’m skeptical of them connecting the dots anytime soon. Seems most likely they take the technocracy route and try to fight this by clinging to control within the fiat system. @Jeff Booth Have you had any opportunities to try and connect the dots for these guys??

The cognitive dissonance was strong in me too at one point, took years to unlearn and relearn. I think Friedberg has a chance at seeing it the fastest. Chamath and Sacks maybe not, seems like they’ve entered into the elites club and like it very much.

Made numerous attempts and others I know have tried to get them to talk to me so I’m pretty sure they’re aware of the thesis.

Interesting because Chamath was so early with Bitcoin

Roger Ver was early to Bitcoin too

Right? Though I do remember him saying that he sold a lot of his bitcoin and regretted it. There’s no way to know the exact biases holding him back, but I can see him boxing in Bitcoin as a technology/asset as opposed to an unstoppable monetary protocol.

There is a saying: “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” If we edit it like this, I think it goes pretty well with the All-in boys: “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his reputation depends on his not understanding it.”
