Idea to bookmark for later: real numbers are incompressible like reality itself. Pi and e are compressible reals, ambassadors from reality to the land of reason.

Pi is easily compressible, just not as a ratio of integers: C/d I’m increasingly convinced that the real numbers are incoherent. I’ll try to find the argument for you later but it’s based on the concept of conditional convergence.

Found it. Actually it's about infinite sets more generally than just real numbers, but very interesting nonetheless. https://www.fountain.fm/episode/asNj3sVbH4DUSt881Env I was already familiar with the Riemann Rearrangement Theorem, but hadn't given it any deeper thought. Now I wonder, if this isn't a demonstration of inconsistency, what would be?
