it’s lead to me stripping out its ram + ssd 😄 (keeping 16GB RAM separate for when I need it in future)
and for the SSD? I’ve put it in this old MacBook Air 2014 🧵

jack2d agonot sure which version of macOS I’ll put on this either, I’m trusting that all versions will work with this M.2 SSD (even through the adapter), but might have to use OCLP to get a newer version (Big Sur?) on it
(Only got 4GB RAM btw).

jack2d agoI tried to fix this back in 2024, but back then I ordered a faulty Corsair SSD which ended up leaving it still not working… but I just realised that my 1tb crucial SSD likely works in it (I’ve got an M.2 → Apple adapter in the SSD slot below the SSD).

jack2d agoI’m also just hoping that it was actually just an SSD failure that had caused this to break 3-4 years ago anyways.. I’m assuming it is as I tried its SSD in my laptop, and it couldn’t read it whatsoever!
