I like these English books
Norman mythology: Albon, GogMagog, Merlin...
Lytton ~ Vril and the coming race
Thomas Paine, works of
Aliester Crowley, works of
Aliester Crowley is great because although his ideas on WILL and relativism predate him, his life and works were an IRL practical experiment of the ideas ... once you are in on the "joke" it's easy to see the illusion of reality and cult of society for what it is
i've personally read about 4 of them. they changed my life, gave me tools to recognise the abuse of the system. my english teacher made that connection obvious to me "we are not doing nineteen eighty-four specifically because you asked" as though my failing to do his assignments on time justified making yet another pick that was going to not work with me for motivation. that one event started a cascade that continues to this day in my efforts to educate about how they capture people's minds and herd them into the pens beside the slaughterhouse. slaughterhouse 5 was another one. crime and punishment, goes deep on the subject of applying remedy in the context of instiutional failure.
Re: Crowley
Probably nothing.
He took too many drugs and likely did fucked up things, but you simply don't know what's true with him.
Re: creating new illusions
That's called forming a working model.
