The Democratic Party and the Republican Party. They are corporations who raise money and help people get elected. You don’t have to believe what the party believes, every politician is unique in their own opinions. But they attach their name to a party because those parties have proven capable of getting people elected, short of like franchising their brand. And because they are good at getting people elected, they tailor the rules to ensure their business model can thrive. Unfortunately, their business model is based on lies and deceptions, which have proven to work to get otherwise completely incompetent people jobs in government. They don’t actually stand for anything. They have a platform, or a pitch deck, they use to entice people to franchise with their brand. Their hold on power allows them to keep out competition.
