I like @Simon Dixon analysis of the players and the incentives. What I think Dixon is not discounting enough is the role of the radical ideologues on all sides and how they can add fuel to the fire so that it can easily get out of control. I shared his view of a “theatrical 12 days war” as well as the Venezuela incursion, but from the initial look of it, this 2nd Iran round (hard to understand due to the outrageous level of lies and manipulation we have) does not seems so much “theatrical”. To me looks like the radicals and the respective MICs on both sides have the upper hand so far and China and the GCC countries are struggling in damage control mode. Another fact Dixon dismisses is the role of radical zionist ideologues. It is a fact and not a coincidence that they occupy the highest positions of the US administration and of the MIC and FIC. Therefore to dismiss that they are simply subordinate to the FIC "money" interest is naive since the FIC itself is ruled by radical zionists. Therefore the radical religious component is a fact that cannot be disregarded in such dynamics. Hard to say so far. Wait and see. In the meantime, stack #bitcoin like a madman...
