They replaced my work laptop with a new one running Windows 11. At first, it felt smoother than my ThinkPad T430 with PCLinuxOS (LXQT Edition), which I’ve had since around 2014. But after a month, the Windows 11 laptop started experiencing the same lags as my previous Windows 10 laptop, which was about three years old.
It doesn’t matter if you have more RAM, a solid-state drive, or a faster processor. Windows generally does everything it can to slow things down so that people are always looking for newer and newer hardware.
The industry isn’t interested in Linux, because you can be perfectly happy with the same laptop for a decade.
