My 11-year-old daughter was recently walking along our driveway, getting fresh air, sunlight, and time on her own to think. A few public schooled neighbor kids came by and said, "Hey, whatcha doin'?" Her: "Just thinking about stuff." Them, making a face: "Why would you want to do that?" Her: 😐 --- I want to point out that they're very nice kids. It's just that this shows one stark difference between homeschooled kids & public schooled kids.
