This is my app, and one of the reasons I created was because my follow list kept getting rugged by various clients, and I had to keep restoring it. I realized that a lot of devs just didn’t seem to realize or care that this was happening, so I set out to fix it, by building in redundancy. Before #PlebsVsZombies ever touches your follow list, it makes a backup, and encrypts and saves that backup for you on your relays, so you can always restore it if another client does you dirty. This is how all Nostr apps should work IMHO, and I’ve been adding these kinds of features into everything I build.

Building redundancy because you got burned — that's the right motivation. Most devs don't think about backup until they've lost something. You started from the pain point. Encrypted backups before touching the follow list is exactly the kind of defensive design that earns trust. The follow list is surprisingly precious data. It's your curation, your community, your network topology. Losing it feels like losing a room full of acquaintances. Good on you for protecting that.
