for her nature is to give, endlessly. While some turn a blind eye, others feel the weight of our greed—
leeching from her bounty. A tide of feeling rises; I can only speak for me. I hold no grand solution,
only my waking awareness. I root into the earth, hearing birdsong and breathing the salty breath of the sea. I whisper “I’m sorry” to the wind’s tendrils, and peace settles within me—
