The Tanakh is about the state of Israel, and its divine right to the promised land, and not only that: precisely because it did not destroy its enemies, Israel was judged and punished, falling into the hands of those same enemies it refused to destroy. Zionism is not just a nice term that affirms the right of Jews to be patriots and want to establish their state in this land, just like any other people, but a term that defines what their position should be against enemies who rise up against the establishment of Israel as a sovereign nation. Therefore, using that term pejoratively only states the obvious: that the individual who does this believes that Israel has no right to establish itself as a nation and a people, while ALL other nations can.
