DK wont let him buy it, and a military attack triggers WW3 and a war between the US and Nato. The US has had the ultimate freedom to deploy as much military bases since right after WW2. They don't need to own Greenland to protect themselves.

Why would they? AFAIK, Denmark doesn't have much debt, they have a stable society with good healthcare, low crime rates, etc. If I remember correctly, Greenland has a bunch of rare earth metals which could be worth a lot if they would actually start mining up there. That said, in all of this mess, a good thing coming out of it would be that Trump fired up NATO enough to deploy more troops and increase military presence up there (if it's so urgent as orange man wants it to be). Why are you so certain that DK will let him buy it?

Literally every other NATO member. Greenland is ONLY important to Denmark, wheras the stability of NATO is important to EVERY other NATO member. Look at the pathetic number of troops deployed to Greenland by Germany, Norway etc? Does 20 troops or whatever it was look like steadfast support to you?

lmao, calm down, this is the biggest nothing-burger announcement I've seen in a while. NATO members won't agree to sell the territory of Greenland to the US, something many of them have been very public about (hence Trumps lame ass tariff threats). The best possible outcome for the US is that the rest of NATO agrees to pay up more, and send more troops up there. And that Denmark and Greenland still allows him to deploy as much military infrastructure as he wants on Greenland territory, something he's been able to since WW2. He will never be allowed to buy Greenland.
