I've been doing 24 hr dry fasts once or twice a week now for about 6 weeks. I've noticed a reduction in internal fat because I have felt my organs shifting (which isn't exactly pleasant). Why dry fasting? Because it block the metabolic pathway where the body breaks down muscle tissue for energy, and instead goes purely to fat breakdown. It also accelerates autophagy, because the body is on the hunt for water. It will target senescent cells, parasites, bacterium and scar tissue. In a longer dry fast, you create the conditions necessary to activate adult stem cells. Just recently started a challenge to eat every other day. It seems that I’m doing it for over 3 weeks now. But I’m keto / carnivore for over 5 years now. It’s becoming increasingly easier over time. My longest is 7 days straight.
