The blocksize limit is what prevents the chain from being to cumbersome to do the IBD. This was always Bitcoin. The problem is your brain never had the power to grasp what this is. You needed someone to tell you what Bitcoin is. Bitcoin isn't for everyone.

Can I posit something to you I've been thinking of? What if "spam" was able to fit in smaller blocks? Today spam requires a greater amount of blockspace but tomorrow it may not. Does the rationale change? Do we advocate for smaller block sizes? This is where I struggle. If an ordinal is going to pay an exorbitant amount to get into a block...
