After twenty years of living with them, I believe it is safe to conclude that centralized social media platforms were in fact SURVEILLANCE media platforms all along. I predict that reasonable people will revive their grandmothers' old practice of documenting their families' lives: physical scrapbooks. Your life and my life is NOT entertainment for the world. It is NOT designed to be consumed by strangers the world over or by the authorities. It is meant to be lived and shared with the loved ones we hold dearest.
