This should’ve been in place since the beginning, but since it wasn’t, kids have this notion that they should have unrestricted access to the internet simply because it’s there. We can already see the adverse effects of allowing impressionable children to surf the net unrestricted.

Meta does not care about children, they only care about the bottom line and collecting people’s data including children. I don’t it think it fair to put the burden on end users. Linux and Windows is used in critical infrastructure like hospitals, gas and electricity companies! The last thing they want is unnecessary complexity added to their system, like age signals. I believe it better to have restrictions at ISP and Router level.
