I think it's a decent analogy I also think Balaji is not nearly as smart as he thinks he is. I watched one of his podcasts and it was painful. He was putting in more effort into sounding smart than into communicating something meaningful. It seems to be common in the a16z crowd. The guys aren't stupid, but they have so much money and influence, it goes to their heads.
