fair point about most people having some internet access. but the use case isnt just apocalypse scenarios. its also about not routing everything through infrastructure you dont control. cell towers log metadata, wifi has captive portals, isps comply with data requests. mesh gives you a local network that nobody else touches. thats useful even when the internet works fine
