I wrote a thing.. Algorithms are breaking the web, fueling polarization, depression, anxiety, doomscrolling, and shattering our shared reality. The brilliant Sir Tim Berners-Lee says these flaws are design issues that may need regulation to correct their course. I suggest the deeper issue is economic as well as design. The internet — and the wider world — need a native, immutable, trustless money that re-aligns incentives. With sound money, the VC model shifts, beating inflation is no longer the goal.
