No, you don't need a Mac Mini 😂

What if I want OpenClaw to run some heavy 3D software?

Does it run on Linux?

Yes. I’m thinking of Blender which is also free and open source. I want to try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxlyCPGCvy8

Didn't watch the video but Blender can be ran from the command line so it might work.

Okay, so Blender runs on my personal laptop and I can connect to OpenClaw using Blender MCP (Message Connection Protocol). Is that right?

Where is OpenClaw running?

On the video, the guy is running both OpenClaw and Blender on a Mac mini. I’m not a computer wizard like you guys, so I’m paranoid about security vulnerabilities. Running everything in the same computer and giving it an isolated guess-WiFi connection seems like the safest way to do it. Am I overthinking this, Derek? Can I have OpenClaw on a cheap mini pc, and connect my Blender laptop to the same guest-WiFi to achieve the same result?

You could do this if you turned your laptop into am OpenClaw node.

What is an OpenClaw node? Would that make my personal laptop vulnerable? This is why I was thinking I should run OpenClaw in an isolated machine that is powerful enough to run Blender and render heavy 3D models.

Do you mean install OpenClaw on my laptop? I want OpenClaw to have its own computer for security.
