Amethyst has around me..

Nobody uses it because Nostr is still fairly new and not many users. The users who are on Nostr at this moment seem to be much more privacy orientated. Facebook has that type of feature and to this day many people use it. It's useful when you want to let your followers know exactly you are. Nostr just needs more users that the around me feature will be used. I've used it. It's difficult to find friends on the internet because the internet is very fake and it has driven away real users. The problem is too many sites allow free registration which has attracted bot farms and scammers. So now most of the time it's bots and scammers trying to scam us. The internet has become trash. This will happen to nostr too unless setup a system of micro-payments in order to reply, follow etc
