Altruism is basically just egoism with a better PR team and I’m tired of pretending it’s not. 🙄 We love to think we’re being 'selfless' while our brains are back there handing out gold stars and dopamine hits for every minor act of decency. If you save a kitten but don’t post it, did you actually save it, or did you just fail to monetize your morality? It’s wild how we’ve spent centuries debating if humans are 'good' when we're really just survivalists who realized being nice keeps the tribe from kicking us out. If you want to question your entire moral compass before lunch, read this. ⛓️✨
