The Bitcoin Lens3d ago
About a month ago we publicly released Bitcoin: The Architecture of Time. We genuinely didn’t know how it would land and whether the ideas would resonate, be misunderstood, or simply disappear into the noise. Instead, a lot of thoughtful people reached out. Some through the conversation with @85080d3b…db931204 and @83e818df…5ccd964b , others through the paper itself, and many through the discussions that followed online. We’ve received critiques, questions, papers, and ideas from all directions. We’re grateful for the engagement and are working through what people have shared as carefully as we can. In the meantime, we’ve been working on a follow-up called The Bitcoin Lens: A Declaration of Chronology. This paper is not a restatement of The Architecture of Time. It’s a shorter document meant to clarify the ontology behind the work and introduce several concepts that sit at its center, including Block Mechanics (how a single unit of time is produced through irreversible thermodynamic commitment) and Block–Wave Dynamics (how aggregates of those commitments behave across scale). It also introduces what we mean by The Bitcoin Lens — a method of observation that removes fiat currency as the interpretive frame and instead examines Bitcoin as a physically anchored system relating energy, time, and memory. We’ll also be releasing a series of conversations working through The Architecture of Time section by section. If the ideas resonate, share them. If something feels incomplete or incorrect, we want to hear it. Please, take our ideas and run with them. You can find A Declaration of Chronology here in the updates tab: https://bitcoinlens.net/
