Yes there is a bug in web/mobile, it reacts to right click. I will check the door tap issue. Files are encrypted with a random AES key, the key is stored in the encrypted payload of kind 33302, along with the final URL and other metadata. Instead files with a size below 32KB are base64 encoded in the event. I will allow to pick specific relays from the outbox selection, and maybe adding approval ones. Happy you like it!

In theory indeed. Marmot is a total mess if you want to fetch by kind etc... You need the whole group state all the time etc.... Maybe sth can be done similar to how they do blossom, but I'm to stupid for that. Nip-17 is not an option for me. Too many attack vectors. If encrypting your notes with Nip-44, I think it can be a good enough solution for mil content type groups too, I think. With a stroooooong incentive to have your own server obviously.

This works great, I want to stop using the JS bloat that is StandardNotes (which is better than every other note taking app, by the way). But the fact that this requires Nostr keys feels wrong in a way. Now I'm not sure if I should use some random new key or if I use a bunker, but then it gets slow and whatnot.

Amazing tool! I am really one the ones ashamed of using tg saved messages! One thing could be a killer...when on mobile you copy the note text is it possible to make Manent appear in the pasteable app menu? So no need to open Manent, just copy select and done! I don't see it in my android when i copy the text.

Hey I am not technical Person but I have one question The Private encrypted message stored on relay right so with the help of npub a person who is in charge of relay can find out who messaged who , like worst case scenario a social map can be created

It's a note app, not a messaging one, so there isn't any risk. Anyway, Nostr NIP-17 private messages use gift wraps (NIP-59), so they don't leak any metadata. One more note: a relay operator cannot know anything more than a casual person that access the relay.

I found the @Keychat browser to be very difficult to build for. I can’t get @45df058f…08fba849 to work with it either. Would love to know why, but I already wasted far too many Claude tokens trying to fix it.

Un'altra cosetta...ho provato a inviare un file per la.prima volta e me lo salva ( su android ) in un percorso interno. Non nel classico Download...credo per l'utente normale.sarebbe meglio la.classica cartella Download...

Great! Although Manent obviously cannot compete with database solutions such as Joplin, it immediately replaced Google Keep (for smaller note solutions that you also want to have with you on mobile). THANK YOU!

Ah, that gift wrap thing makes sense—I was actually worried about the same thing when a friend asked me about Nostr's privacy earlier this week, so this clears it up. Good to know relay operators aren't sitting there building social maps. Are you working on Manent specifically to make note-taking more private, or is privacy just a nice side effect of building on Nostr?
