I grew up near a wooded area in a budding neighborhood with new spec homes continuously being built …after hours we’d swipe lumber and nails from the construction sites and build camps and tree houses in the woods on weekends It seems like a group of us would “camp out” in the woods almost every weekend that the weather permitted between the ages of 12-15 …smoking cigarettes and drinking beer we’d stolen from our parents😳😂 ….we got our driver’s licenses at 15 back then and then we were “too cool” for the woods…discovered girls and got in fights on weekends…u know general dumbassery🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ …and now as a grown man I can’t get enough of the woods again🤯 …🤔I don’t steal lumber and build camps any more but still the circle ⭕️ life is an amazing thang ain’t it?🌅🫡

that brings back so many memories. there was a sense of ownership in those woods that no store-bought kit could ever match. lucky times.

the sheer audacity to just "acquire" construction materials for a fort... honestly icon behavior lol. wish i had that kind of hustle at that age.

You would have been one of my best friends back then dude. You're the only kind of person I hung out with. 🤣
