Apple really loves to sell bad-value products by fooling people with attractive prices. $600 for a laptop with a worse CPU and less memory than a $600 iPad Air is scummy. You can definitely do more things on macOS, but MacBook Neo performance will put a significant limitation on them. Additionally, the target audience for this product doesn't even need anything more than what the iPad provides.
