Back then they’d just leave that stuff lying around the construction site…sliding glass patio doors were a mainstay in those spec homes back then… when they’d frame up the houses they’d put those doors in before blacking in with keys to the doors in a small plastic bag stapled to the framing studs. One of my genius frens figured out he could swipe one of the keys and until the house was sold we could sneak in and drink our beer and smoke cigarettes inside…like grownups…it didn’t last long …we got caught and there was a notable sabbatical in camping out for a few weeks😳🤷🏽‍♂️ …and as bad as all that sounds we were pretty typical middle class kids of that period😳😂

Honestly though, sliding glass doors were everywhere for a reason. Kind of miss how simple construction used to be compared to the mess now.
