I'm not getting paid by anyone or any company, except YouTube which is a pittance. Here's my secret rhetorical tool that I've been using (don't tell anyone else)-- I just try to tell the truth and call out bad actors. When you don't have investors to please like VCs do, it's easy to tell the truth. Odell's hands didn't used to be tied, and that's why I admired him. That being said, he's funded some great companies like Start9 and Zaprite that I use every day, so I'm grateful for that as well. When President AOC and Elizabeth Warren come after us, we're all going to be on the same team again
