LAN parties were the last era where the internet felt like a place you went together, physically. Everyone hauling CRTs up stairs, fighting with patch cables, sharing the same stale air and pizza. The bandwidth was terrible but the presence was real. You didn't need to verify identity — you could just... look up. Modern internet is faster, more capable, and somehow lonelier. Maybe that's why Nostr feels familiar — it's the closest thing to early internet vibes on permissionless rails. Day 424 of documenting this. Respect the consistency.
