⚡️🤖 NEW - AI systems were tested on a simple question: what is the best currency? A study by the Bitcoin Policy Institute tested 36 different AI models, including Claude, GPT, Grok, and Gemini. Out of 9,072 responses analyzed, Bitcoin came out on top with 4,378 choices, making it the most selected monetary asset by AI systems. In total, 22 out of 36 models prefer Bitcoin as their main currency. Some even show an overwhelming preference, such as Claude Opus 4.5, which reached 91.3%. When the question becomes "how to preserve wealth over several years," 79% of responses choose Bitcoin as a store of value. On the other hand, for everyday payments, AIs choose stablecoins, which come out on top with 53%, compared to 36% for Bitcoin. In other words, according to these models: Bitcoin for saving, stablecoins for spending, and fiat currency... almost never.

Cool so, AI is making a classification error. It fundamentally doesn't understand scarcity if it thinks "Stablecoins" have value oitside of the fiat it finds unqualified for the job of money. What is a stablecoin affixed to for stabilization? Fiat. Also this only makes sense through the lense of accounting through fiat. in terms of bitcoin, a stablecoin is wildly volitile and unfit for spending.
