Yeah that’s the verse on fasting to remove demons. I think it has something to do with it not being in some manuscripts and was thought to have been added later. But I think it’s a very important verse because fasting is amazing, you feel great afterwards and does all kinds of miraculous healing l of your body.

The doctrine itself isn’t in jeopardy either way. Mark 9:29 preserves the teaching with strong manuscript support.

I'm not a biblical scholar, just a normal pleb, but I don't think I have a problem with stuff appearing or disappearing based on trusted pre-written Bible manuscripts. I'd worry more about outright deceit, like the Schofield bible. Matthew 17:21 should appear as an annotation in a good bible rather than be completely removed though.

Also make sure you have a bible with the books of Tobit, Judith and Esther. The best old testament stories. Be wary of anything that just omits whole books. IMO.
