States (governments of countries) should serve as companies.
If the cost you pay to live there does not compensate for the services you receive,
you simply switch companies.
You emigrate.
Countries like Spain that are beginning to drift toward third-world conditions, flirting with social-communism, have citizens who pay (many without realizing it) more than 52% of their income to the tax authorities.
And what do they receive?
A state that crushes them with man-made disasters,
with poorly maintained trains,
with insecurity in the streets,
and with more and more taxes.
Government / State = a company that provides you with services.
Just like your network provider.
Is the network bad?
You would certainly look for a better one.
