Admittedly, the plot is very shallow and small in scope. I was hoping to get 1984 style systemic developments and explanations, but it’s more of an intimate story. I live in a city, and lately I’ve been getting flashes of what my neighborhood could fall into under hyperinflation. The intimacy makes it very relatable to your own life and easy to imagine the US fall this way.

I'm almost at the end... NGL it's pretty tough reading but it seems like it's getting to a good payoff. There are some chapters, long "dinner conversations" that I skimmed through
