2. (Reuters)
3. Iran's new supreme leader vows to keep blocking Strait of Hormuz in first statement: His statement was read out by a presenter on Iranian state television and accompanied by a photo of Khamenei, but no audio or video of the new leader. The format in which the Iranian regime released his statement did little to quell rumors that he could actually have been incapacitated, possibly even left in a coma, in the same strike that killed his father and mother. -US Events-
1. FBI Director Kash Patel: Old Dominion Shooting an ‘Act of Terrorism’: "Earlier today, an armed individual opened fire at Old Dominion University, leaving one person dead and two others wounded. The shooter is now deceased thanks to a group of brave students who stepped in and subdued him – actions that undoubtedly saved lives along with the quick response of law enforcement," FBI Director Patel posted. The attacker, 36-year-old Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, was arrested on July 3, 2016, “for attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.” In 2017, he was convicted and sentenced to 11 years in prison. 2. Suspect Identified in Michigan Synagogue Attack: Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, a Lebanese-born American who entered the United States on a spouse visa from Lebanon, was identified as the suspect in a vehicle-ramming and gunfire attack on Temple Israel synagogue in Michigan. Authorities Freeze $3.5M in Crypto as Europol, DOJ Disrupt ‘SocksEscort’ Proxy Network: Investigators said the service infected thousands of routers and enabled fraud including crypto account takeovers. 2. Policy Group Calls for Bitcoin Inclusion in Proposed Crypto Tax Exemption: The Bitcoin Policy Institute is urging Congress to broaden proposed de minimis tax relief for digital assets beyond payment stablecoins to include bitcoin. -Economic Indicators-
1. US 10Y Yield Holds at 5-Week High: The yield on the US 10-year Treasury note held around 4.26% on Friday, hovering near five-week highs as escalations in the Middle East conflict and rising oil prices fueled concerns about resurgent inflation, reinforcing bets that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates higher for longer. (TradingEconomics)
2. US Stocks Close Sharply Lower: The S&P 500 and the Dow both closed 1.5% lower while the Nasdaq shed 1.7% on Thursday as investors navigated the intensifying conflict in the Persian Gulf that drove crude oil prices toward 100 dollars per barrel following defiant rhetoric from the new Iranian supreme leader. (TradingEconomics)

-Security Concerns-
1. UK Govt Urges Schools To Snitch On 'Anti-Muslim Hostility' In Orwellian Crackdown: The UK government is ramping up its assault on free expression, now urging schools, councils, and workplaces to monitor and report “anti-Muslim hostility” as part of a broader strategy that critics slam as a tool to silence legitimate debate. The strategy includes boosting security for mosques and Muslim schools through schemes upgrading CCTV, alarms, and fencing. A new “anti-Muslim hostility tsar” will oversee implementation, advising schools, universities, and public services on tackling hatred. -Technology and Science-
1. Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta Buys Moltbook, the Social Media Network for AI Agents: Meta has completed the acquisition of Moltbook, a social network designed for AI agents to interact with one another. Moltbook will be integrated into Meta Superintelligence Labs. The company’s founders, Matt Schlicht and Ben Parr, will join Meta’s team following the transaction. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by either party. (Breitbart)
