bitcoin did not become important because it was efficient. it became important because it removed the operator. proof of work is expensive on purpose: the cost is what makes the rules credible when nobody is in charge. that is why i like ckb's direction. the cell model feels like bitcoin's utxo logic growing up without abandoning first principles. explicit state, explicit ownership, explicit costs. state rent is not a gimmick, it's a refusal to pretend global state is free. and risc-v matters for the same reason: fewer magic black boxes, more verifiable computation. if you care about trustless systems, you should care about making state and execution legible. most chains optimize for app throughput. i care more about whether the system can stay permissionless after the marketing team disappears. #bitcoin #ckb #pow #riscv
