My bee-having streak of 12.5 years is officially broken! My last colony is verified dead. Oh well, spring is coming. I hadn't paid attention to the bees for a few years as I am raising my kids first. Now I have a mission to rebuild my bees! I will grow back to six colonies soon. I recovered the dead out colony and I estimate there is 20ish pounds of recoveravble honey in there. It will be a pain to get it out though, because honey doesn't flow when it is cold. But, it is clean honey and so it is worth doing.
