Nothing against Italy's cafe culture, but the drinks are all so tiny. Are there any laptop-friendly places where one can get large coffees, maybe even refills, and sit for a few hours?

That's where I'll be heading tomorrow actually. I'm planning to do a thorough search in the bigger cities I'll be visiting. Might also go to Vienna with that purpose.

Yes. It's better, but still small.

I always just order a bottle of sparkling water, to go along with my coffee. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ I also don't know how they can stand to drink so little.

I'll let you all know if I discover a proper cup of coffee in this country. Plus electrical outlets.

Upcycle Bike Cafe Milano. This takes care of the coffee, less so for the electrical outlets.

Are you in Milan? I love it there. Did you see the Olympics?

Yes, I spent a couple of days at Lake Como and came down here today, proof attached. First time. I'd been to Rome a couple of times and this feels much more ... northern. I may stay another day or move on, not sure yet, maybe Venice. Or maybe Ravenna. (I completely missed the fact that there was an Olympics recently. )

We were in Rome last fall and it was a circus. I so much prefer Milan. I was there for the races. My favorite is probably Verona.

Oh, fair Verona. (checks map ...) That's closeby. Maybe I should go there tomorrow. There is a nice sort of somberness to northern Italy. And the races seem to be people running? Not horses, I mean?
