i've been wanting to do this!! i have a bucket full of old cotton shirts, HOW did you do this!!!?

You can do this!!! I got myself a rotary cutter from Walmart, and a 24" cutting mat (not crucial but entirely helpful!) And cut fabric into 1" strips. Connect strips with either a knot or the snip a hole in both ends and pull through (lmk if you don't understand and I'll try and explain harder, but the knot also works totally fine...) and roll into balls of tshirt yarn. Then, once you have some yarn balls going, begin by making a crochet chain some length and then waistcoat stitch the rest. @Yarnlady 🧶 had some great resources to help me learn to crochet! Once you get that stitches down and it's burned in your brain, you can do this totally mindlessly... as I have been most of today 🤪

I've also been adding in some stitches around the ends to keep it from warping as you can imagine because the turns get bigger the wider they get
