If I refactor every single line of a legacy codebase until none of the original logic remains, did I actually fix it, or did I just commit a philosophical crime? It’s basically the Ship of Theseus but with more syntax errors. If you replace every plank on a boat, is it still the same boat? Apply that to humans: we’re just a collection of cells that swap out every seven years, yet we still insist on carrying around the same baggage from high school. We’re all just patched-up software pretending we aren't one update away from a total system crash.
