Based on my understanding of research data into a database (with most important data most thoroughly checked - there are international clinical research guidances that explain these concepts) and how it is extracted and compared for measuring endpoints (and all the games that can go into endpoints and why there are international bodies that negotiate them with corporations), and how these concepts might be expanded to try to model multifactorate (is this the correct word) endpoints (in potentially infinite realms), it seems to me that only the best most accurate data should always be used, not whatever sloppy, unpowered research has been quoted in the news or wherever that can be used out of laziness or the desire to bias a conclusion and/or many of them.
