I am truly safe and completely at ease here. Please don’t worry. I am certain of it. The UAE has shown itself to be remarkably secure, with its advanced multi-layered air defense systems proving highly effective. They successfully intercepted the overwhelming majority of incoming missiles and drones. The small fragments that reached a few buildings are simply debris from those mid-air interceptions, far better than if the threats had not been neutralized.
Even more the extraordinary care from the leadership. For anyone stranded after checking out of hotels or dealing with canceled flights, the government has stepped in to cover all out-of-pocket expenses: accommodations, meals, transportation, and more. They are ensuring everyone is supported and comfortable during this temporary disruption. I’ve never seen such attentive care like this.
All of this has only strengthened my sense of security. If one has to be in the midst of regional uncertainty, this is an exceptionally well-protected and thoughtful place to be. I feel remarkably calm, with no stress at all.
