True, but typical Ancient Greeks walking in the street and watching where they put their sandals were probably not looking for prostitutes, any more than typical Usenetters were looking for migration agents (the birth of modern spam). It does highlight how widespread literacy was in ancient Greece, that this was a viable marketing tactic at all...!
